Orville by Gibson LPS Les Paul Standard 1989 Vintage Sunburst Lacquer Finish USA PUs w/ Gig Bag
This 1989 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Standard plays and sounds great! The guitar has a comfortably slim neck profile and is outfitted with a Bill Lawrence Original Gibson HB-R neck humbucker and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 in the bridge position. The lacquer finish looks awesome here, and has aged beautifully over the years. These Orville by Gibson guitars showcase the highest tier of Japanese production Gibson offered at the time, blending Japanese craftsmanship and USA pickups.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. There's a noticeable blemish located on the side of the headstock near the D string tuner and a small finish chip located on the lower body along the binding. The binding shows other signs of aging and the hardware shows normal patina for its age. The frets exhibit normal play wear from over the years but still play great along the neck and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge pickup was replaced with a vintage Seymour Duncan SH-4, it appears some of the wiring in the electronics cavity has also been replaced, likely at the same time. The neck position retains its original Gibson Bill Lawrence humbucker. This guitar is otherwise original.
